Trying to dodge the law, Krishna, 26, driving without helmet, courted death when he rammed his two-wheeler into an on-coming BMTC bus.

The incident, near Karnataka Slum Development Board, occurred when Krishna, a painter and resident of a slum near Himalaya Theatre, was trying to give the traffic police the slip.

Fortunately for Krishna, he just suffered a fracture to his leg. Avoiding the traffic police at Ganesh temple, near Government Ayurvedic College, Krishna drove into one-way meant for BMTC buses entering Kempegowda Bus Station.

He lost control while speeding below the bridge and collided head-on with an oncoming bus. His two-wheeler was stuck in the front wheel of the bus and he was dragged for some distance. He has been admitted to Victoria Hospital, the police said.
