A two-year-old girl was allegedly sexually molested by a 25-year-old man near a railway track near Gangappa Garden, off Magadi Road, under KP Agrahara police limits, on Monday.
Daily wager the suspect
According to the police, Ramakrishna, a daily wage labourer was caught by the public, who handed him over to the police.
The accused was residing a couple of lanes away from the victim’s house in Gangappa Garden. Around 5 pm, he noticed the girl playing in front of her house.
The suspect offered her chocolates and took her away to a nearby railway track and molested her, which was noticed by few passersby, who thrashed him before handing him over to the police.
The victim’s parents were informed and the child sent for medical examination.The accused had been booked under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, police said.
