The dead are Neelamma (35) from Bannalli, Tulasamma (38) from Bheemagondanahalli and Puttamma (18) from Guddahosalli. The injured are admitted to different hospitals, police said.
There were 31 women in the bus that was ferrying them to Shashi Distillery where they were employed. The driver of the speeding bus lost control while negotiating a sharp curve near Kaggalipura and the vehicle overturned. Many passengers suffered head injuries.
Local residents rushed to the accident spot and helped in shifting the injured, including driver Satish, to hospitals.
The Thalaghattapura police have registered a case against him.
