As many as 31 students of FIITJEE (Bangalore Centre) have been selected in Stage 1 of Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY).
The Department of Science and Technology started the programme to encourage students of basic sciences, engineering and medicine to take up research.
The programme’s aim is to identify and encourage talented students with aptitude for research. It strives to ensure that the best scientific talent is tapped for research and development in the country.
Selected students will be awarded scholarships up to pre-PhD level.
The test comprises two stages. The first level is a written aptitude test.
Based on the performance in the test, candidates will be called for an interview, which is the final stage of the selection.
The next admission test of FIITJEE is on December 23.
