37 plastic units flouting ban: KSPCB

Officials of the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) have found as many as 37 plastic units in the City violating the government orders on ban of plastic.

Following the blanket ban on plastic, the KSPCB inspected 80 plastic units in the City from March 23 to 29. Of the six units inspected in Peenya, all were found to be violating the rules while of the 14 units checked in Peenya, six had not complied with the ban orders.

Officials from Rajarajeshwari regional office found two units violating the ban while it was seven in Bengaluru west and 44 units in Bengaluru south. No unit was found violating the rules in Bengaluru east, a press release said.
