5 swimming pool workers arrested for misbehaviour

Five workers of PM Swimming Pool in Jayanagar were taken into custody for misbehaving with a woman on Monday evening.

DCP (South-East) Dr Rohini Katoch Sepat told Deccan Herald that the incident occurred when the woman, who had gone to the swimming pool, was talking to one of her male friends.

“The five men, all working with the swimming pool coaches and lifeguards, were drunk. They were loitering in the area. They saw her standing and talking to her friend and misbehaved with her,” said Sepat.

The victim lodged a complaint with the Tilak Nagar police, who took the five into custody. The five were identified as Shankar, Krishnaprasad, Vimaraj, Adarsh and Arun, said the police.

Cop’s son ends life

The son of a head constable allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at the KSRP quarters in Koramangala on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Muralidhar, 23, the son of Niranjan Murthy of KSRP-3 battalion. The incident occurred when he was alone in at his house, said the police.

He had discontinued education after he failed to clear PUC five years ago. He was unemployed. In a purported death note, he stated: “Nobody is responsible for my death,” the police added.
