Police said, Nurda Meri, a resident of Vijayanagar, was strangled to death and her body was thrown near a hotel on the Outer Ring Road under Rajagopal Nagar police station limits.
It was not a murder for gain as gold ornaments were found intact on her body and the police suspected that some property dispute might be the motive. The woman is survived by nine children and grand children.
