As many as 7,000 doctors from across the country have signed on 75 cricket bats wishing India luck for the World Cup 2015.

The initiative by Micro Labs Limited, a pharmaceutical company, saw volunteers reach out to doctors in all states and take the message. “Under this initiative, field executives of Micro Cardicare Division, collected signatures of doctors on tailormade cricket bats designed for the campaign. A total 75 bats were circulated covering all states and signatures of more than 7,000 doctors taken,” explained Micro Labs Limited Group product manager Tanmoy Mondal.
It took the team of 75 volunteers 25 days to get the bats signed.

“We will approach the BCCI officials and hand over the bat to Team India,” he said. This will be passed on to the BCCI as a token of best wishes for the success of the Indian cricket team under the Viva India initiative of Micro Labs. Doctors from Jayadeva Institute of Cardiac Sciences also signed the bats.
