8 Africans held with drugs in TC Palya

The KR Puram police arrested five Ugandans and three Nigerians for possessing narcotics near Anandapura Circle in TC Palya, east Bengaluru, on Thursday.

Four of the suspects are women.

The suspects are EammEgwim (27), EzewebeOmorej Kingsley (35), Ebu Samuel (28), Nampeera Hariet (21), Happy Sany (29), Natijja Winnie (22), Ndagire Shammim (22) and NamayamjaSylyia (32).

They are all residents of TC Palya.

Police said they seized 1.50 kilograms of marijuana, 100 grams of cocaine, one laptop, mobile phones and
Rs 18,000 in cash from them.

The suspects were found to be overstaying in India as their travel documents have expired, police said.
