The evening was about fiery cocktails, scrumptious bites, great ambience and exhilarating music. And as they belted out covers of songs from times gone by, people had a swinging time.
Speaking to Metrolife on the occasion, Krishnan, the host for the evening, said, “Dublin is the Mecca of good ol’ times. We thought we’d take it up a notch. We will unearth some hidden local talents giving the City a grand time.”
Goblets and glasses promoted high spirits. Laughing couples attempted not dancing in keeping with the ban. The party people air-kissed even while munching on soggy popcorn and yummy appetisers. Some conversations revolved around food. In fact, somebody was heard complaining about the lack of any cheese-based munchies.
What was interesting to note was that as a City, we are obsessed with cricket. Even at an event that’s about music, the television screens beamed a match.
The men surreptitiously peeped through the corner of their eyes catching the score. Many discussed the IPL and the Royal Challengers. The fact that Syed Kirmani was present at the event seemed to add to the cricket-centric conversations.
The other people at the party included the regular P3Ps, corporate biggies and some artists. Rajesh Reddy, Ramesh Dembla, Harish Bijoor and Laila Barker were among those who walked in to savour the evening.
