Musicians Cali P and Manudigital are all set to delight Bengalureans soon. They will be performing at The Humming Tree on January 20, from 9 PM.

Born Pierre Nanon to a mother from Switzerland and a Rastafarian father from the French Caribbean territory of Guadeloupe, Cali P was destined for the assignment of transcending racial and ethnic challenges in the promotion of his music. He describes himself as a singer, songwriter, rapper and one could add a lyrical firebrand who has been devoted to the playing of the drums since the age of three.

He released his first single ‘Forward’ in 2005 which was followed by a number of other singles. He confidently asserts that Jamaica is his base and the world is his stage. He points out that when he tours, he loves being accompanied by his Jamaican band which he notes brings a certain energy to his performance.

The other artiste, Manudigital, started playing bass guitar at the age of 13 with support from his guitar playing brothers. He joined his first Reggae band in 1994 called ‘Jahrmony’ where he got a taste for performing on stage. It didn’t take long after that before Manu started joining multiple and various artists, armed only with his bass and vibe.

He had always been strongly attracted to Jamaican culture and its profusion of styles and forms, which helped him find his first Sound System, ‘Digital Sound’. Manu has shared the stage with some of the biggest French names in Reggae.
Tickets for the concert are available at the venue.
