Jagjit Singh has lent his voice for the character of dadaji, the narrator of this
story.  Says Jagjit, “I really enjoyed it. This is the first time that I have done something
beyond singing. In any case, I do enjoy working for the kids. Dubbing was definitely fun and emoting for the role of dadaji was great.”

According to the director Sachin Gote, he had taken a lot of effort to improvise and finished dubbing within three hours. Says one of the producers, Prabhakar Shukla, “We were dubbing in Amar Haldipur’s studio. He has shown some clippings of Baru to Jagjit . Once he saw those, he liked them immensely.”

“When I heard about this, I approached him. He had sung for my first film Gudiya and knew me.” “He saw the film and offered to be the narrator, saying that he knows how grandfathers speak and did not charge even a penny.”

Besides Jagjit, the other artistes who have dubbed for Baru — The Wonder Kid are Sharad Kelkar, Vrajesh Hirjee and Nandu Madhav.
