Also present were the lead actress of the film Ramya, producer Suresh and music director Hamsalekha.
The two lead actors — Prakash Raj and Ramya, came on time and played good hosts. Ramya looked stunning in a cream dress as she posed patiently for the shutterbugs. The guest list for the event included the who’s who of the Kannada film industry like Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Jayamala, Jayanthi, Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar, Yograj Bhat, Aindrita Ray, Ganesh, Kavita Lankesh to name a few.

“I don’t know what to expect,” laughed Prakash Raj. “It is the others who have to expect,” he told Metrolife. “It’s a special evening for me,” he said as he addressed the gathering. “I haven’t taken up direction to prove anything to anyone. NNK is just about the lessons I have learnt in life.” He went on to introduce the legendary music director Hamsalekha, who then addressed the crowd and welcomed a few singers, who sang popular compositions of music-directors like Rajan Nagendra and G K Venkatesh.
Aindrita Ray made a blink-and-miss appearance, but managed to exchange cordial greetings with everyone present. “I am really looking forward to Naanu Nanna Kanasu,” she said. “I am a big fan of Prakash Raj and have also worked with him. He is hilarious.” She even had a small but friendly chat with Ramya. Does that mean the two leading ladies are great friends? “Of course we are,” laughed Aindrita. “There are no cat fights between us at all.” Ganesh was excited about watching ‘NNK’ too. “I have seen the Tamil version and it’s really nice,” he said.

Since the movie revolves around the relationship between a father and a daughter, the male stars read letters addressed to their daughters. “This is the first letter I have written to my daughter,” laughed Ganesh. “So please forgive me if I have made any mistakes.” Reading the letter addressed to his daughter, he said, “When you call me dad, I am the happiest person in the world.”

“My children are an extension of me,” said Ramesh Aravind as he spoke about his kids. “The happiest moments of my life were the moments they were born,” he added. The other stars who read out similar letters were Ravichandran, Yograj Bhat and Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar.

The evening ended with sumptuous buffet for all the guests, most of whom, seemed to have completely enjoyed the event.
