Bengaluru: The Bangalore Hotels' Association has claimed that the BBMP has withdrawn the blanket meat ban for Aero India.
The civic body last week ordered all restaurants serving meat within a 13-km radius of the Yelahanka Air Force Station to shut down for 23 days in February in view of the biennial airshow.
The association opposed the decision, saying it would badly hit more than 5,000 star hotels, pubs, bars and restaurants. It also submitted a memorandum in this regard to the BBMP chief commissioner.
On Wednesday, the association's honorary president PC Rao said the civic body had withdrawn the order.
