The High Court on Wednesday ordered notice to the State Election Commission (SEC) in a petition filed by All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) seeking directions to use the party symbol ‘two leaves’ to contest in the upcoming BBMP elections.

K Kumar is contesting the BBMP elections as an AIADMK candidate from Subhash Nagar (ward 95,) but has been denied permission to use the party symbol.  The party had approached the court seeking directions to the State Election Commission to use ‘two leaves’ only as the party symbol to contest the elections. Justice Ravi B Malimath ordered notice to SEC and adjourned the matter.
