The award was conferred at the Rashtrapati Bhavan recently. The coveted PVSM conferred to Air Marshal Iyer is, in recognition to his selfless and dedicated service in the Indian Air Force (IAF) stretching for over four decades. Air Marshal V R Iyer is also the recipient of the Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM) in the year 2007.
