VISUAL DELIGHT 'A certain object' will be performed in the city.

Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan will conduct a workshop plus concert with Alfons Knogl, Holger Otten and Barnt in its premises. During his stint as bangaloREsident@1 Shanthi Road in 2013, Alfons Knogl developed new musical compositions alongside sculptural works. Together with Holger Otten as a permanent member and Daniel Ansorge aka Barnt as an occasional member, the project ‘A certain object’ took off after Alfons returned from India.

Daniel Ansorge, better known as Barnt, is founder of the experimental techno label Magazine, DJ and musician but also trained as a visual conceptual artist. Alfons Knogl is a visual artist focussing on sculpture in terms of object-hood and contra-materialism.

He also uses music as a sculptural expression dealing with these concepts. Holger Otten is a curator at Ludwig Forum Aachen and makes music.

‘A certain object’ will be performed on March 24, 8 pm onwards. A 2-hour workshop will be conducted on the same day from 5 pm onwards and it will address the possibilities and impossibilities between experimental music and visual arts.

There is no registration fee and the workshop is open to DJs, musicians and artists.
