Parag, an initiative of Tata Trusts, presents Big Little Book Award (BLBA) on October 31, 5 pm, at RV Engineering College, 3rd block, Jayanagar.

This time, the event celebrates Kannada literature for children. “It is new and hence is causing both excitement and anxiety. I am aware of the big task of reaching out to the nooks and corners of the State getting the Kannada children’s book readers to nominate,” says Swaha Sahoo, head of Parag.

The BLBA includes a panel discussion on ‘Kannada Children’s Literature - Trends and Challenges’ and an announcement of BLBA 2018 shortlisted authors. It also aims to get selected works of the award-winning authors like Nabaneeta Dev Sen translated into other languages.

“The idea is to promote the work of these award-winning authors in as many languages as possible,” she adds.
