Around 6.20 am, Joseph and Rajendra, residents of Banaswadi heard a baby’s cries from a garage, opposite the Fire Force Station.
Closer inspection revealed a newborn baby under a car, apparently abandoned. Joseph and Rajendra alerted the local police and with their help they shifted the baby to Lokhande Hospital.
Police suspect that the mother of the baby is from the surrounding area and are looking for her.
