When its parents were standing outside, the main door with an automatic lock had closed due to a strong breeze, according to the police.
It was the child’s cries that made the parents, Sridhar and Chitra, who were talking outside realise that the door had closed due to the breeze and the key was inside the house, the police said.
The panic-stricken parents then called the RMC Yard fire force personnel who rushed to the spot and opened the door of the first-floor flat by getting in through the window. The incident took place at Krishna Apartment on 9th Cross, 5th Main, Malleswaram.
No case has been registered, the police said.
