Many of the ATMs across the City ran dry and people were seen condemning the bank officials. All banking transactions came to a halt, with even some private banks, joining the stir.
A large number of bank officers on Friday assembled at the State Bank of Mysore head office on K G Road and held a demonstration to press for their demands.
May intensify
The officers said the strike was just symbolic and they might resort to indefinite strike if their demands were not met.
