Bengaluru: With the metro work on Bannerghatta Road nearing completion, the BBMP has decided to develop the pedestrian pathway along the stretch into a 'model walkway'.
BBMP Chief Commissioner M Maheshwar Rao issued an order to this effect on Tuesday after inspecting the stretch with a team of zonal engineers.
He emphasised that footpaths along this route must be constructed uniformly and transformed into model walkways.
The engineers were asked to fix the damaged slabs and kerb stones during the inspection, which covered a total of 5.5 km from Dairy Circle to the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) campus.
