A 29-year-old man was stabbed to death by unidentified men in Anekal on Sunday night. The victim, Babu, a resident of Narayanaswamy Layout, Anekal town, was a supervisor at a local bar and had married a year ago, said the police.
The incident occurred near the bar around 6.30 pm. The assailants accosted him, picked a fight and attacked him. Babu suffered injuries on his abdomen, back and neck. They fled the spot after he fell down bleeding profusely.
A few local residents rushed him to a nearby hospital where he breathed his last some time later, said the police. “Babu was not involved in any criminal activity. Monetary issues and an affair might have led to the murder. There are definite leads about the assailants. They will be arrested shortly,” said a police inspector.
