Basavangudi has been identified because it houses the most popularly visited heritage spots.
As part of this plan, the BBMP intends to make a single route for people to visit six of the heritage spots in the constituency.
The Palike intends to operate battery-run vehicles and also appoint a guide for the convenience of tourists visiting Basavangudi. “We will be having an environment-friendly beautification drive which will include sign boards at convenient spots for tourists,” said a senior palike official.
The heritage spots as identified by the BBMP include: Kempambudi Lake, Gavi Gangadhareshwara Temple, Dodda Basavanna Temple, Dodda Ganapati Temple, Ramanjaneya Temple and Bugle Rock Park.
