A resident of Mudalapalya, she was a 1st year BBM student at Bharatiya Sanskuti Vidyapeeth.
According to the police, she was crushed under the bus (route number 170) around 9.30 am near the Vijayanagar bus stop.
She was crossing the road to reach her college when the bus ran over her. The bus dragged her for about eight to 10 feet. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to injuries later. The driver of the bus has been arrested, said the police.
Her father Basavarajaiah is a head constable and a member of Governor’s escort.
