When his bike reached Seemantana lake, an oncoming car with high-beam lights on blinded Girish. As it was a bad stretch filled with potholes, Girish lost balance and fell. Soon after, passers-by shifted him to a private hospital. Girish sustained multiple injuries, including two severe fractures on both hands and a cut on his face. Now, the family is running from pillar to post to arrange money for Girish’s treatment. Based on the complaint filed by Girish’s brother, Murali N, the Whitefield police charged the BBMP officials under IPC section 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others).
