This land was crucial for the completion of a 10.3-km arterial road connecting Magadi Road and Mysuru Road, passing through the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout.

With support from the local police, the BDA removed unauthorised structures encroaching upon 16 acres in Machohalli Village, two acres in Kannalli, and an acre in Kenchanapura Village, all within Yeshwanthpura Hobli in Bangalore North taluk.

The BDA has already finished approximately 8 km of the arterial road.

Engineers confirmed that the recovery of these 19 acres will allow them to complete the remaining two-km stretch.

This action was taken following a High Court order in favour of the BDA, enabling the authority to reclaim the land. The demolition operation was executed by the BDA Task Force in conjunction with BDA engineers.
