She has an excellent academic record since primary school days and Rituparna Deshmukh did no harm to her reputation in SSLC exam.

A student of KLS English Medium School in the city, Rituparna staying true to expectations, scored an astounding 622 marks (99.52 per cent).        

Rituparna scored a prefect 100 in Maths, Science and Hindi while managing to score 99 marks in Social Studies and Kannada. She scored 124 marks in English subject.

A delighted Rituparna told Deccan Herald, “I first heard the news of having secured the 2nd rank on the television and plunged in rejoice along with my parents. My teachers also rushed to my house and congratulated me for achieving the feat.”

Rituparna said that she wants to pursue a career in Aeronautical or Electronic and Communication engineering.

Rajini S Acharya, a student of Deepayana English Medium School in Hosapete, has secured second rank. Daughter of Satyanarayana Acharya an employee at a private ore company and Vani a primary school teacher, Rajini scored 622 marks to share joint second place with three others.

Rajini wants to pursue Civil engineering to resurrect the historical buildings and monuments in the country.
