On Saturday, her parents and sibling left for a temple visit in Tamil Nadu. The girl, a Class 9 student at a local school, stayed home with her grandmother as she had an exam scheduled for the next day.

Around 3.30 pm on Sunday, her grandmother left the house briefly. She returned in the evening to find the main door locked from the inside. After receiving no response, she asked neighbours for help to open it.

Inside, they found the girl unresponsive. Police were alerted, and the body was sent for autopsy.

No foul play is suspected. An Unnatural Death Report (UDR) has been registered.
