Bengaluru: The Kamakshipalyam police have arrested a man on suspicion of murdering his 32-year-old wife, whose body was found in their residence.

The victim, Nethravathi, and her husband Somashekhar, both worked as daily wage labourers and reportedly struggled with alcohol addiction. The police said that the couple quarrelled frequently.

An initial examination of Nethravathi’s body revealed contusions on her left chin and ear, though no other external injuries were found. She was also known to suffer from fits, the police said.

The post-mortem report is awaited, and an investigation is ongoing.
