
Bengaluru man hit by fire while trying to set ablaze brother's home.

A Bengaluru man fell in his own trap when he tried to set ablaze his brother's home over some financial dispute. Muniraju sprayed petrol at the residence of his elder brother, Ramakrishna. When he lit fire and attempted to burn the stay, he accidentally caught fire and ended up in the hospital.

The footage opened showing Muniraju standing outside the door and appearing to lock it, trapping the brother and his father indoors. He then spilled few mugs of the inflammable fuel towards what looked like a window. Seconds later, when he ignited the flame and was about to set the home ablaze, his plan backfired.
Muniraju dramatically caught fire. The visuals showed him engulfed by the fire he set. Neighbours rushed to the spot and he was taken to medical care.
After this incident came to light, the local police informed the media that Muniraju ran a chit fund scheme but was suffering losses. As he was facing pressure to repay money, and wanted the family's land to be sold to recover payment. However, his brother refused selling off the entire land, sparking tensions between Muniraju and Ramakrishna.
Following this, one night, Muniraju arrived at Ramakrishna's residence and attempted to set it on fire.
The Tirumalashettihalli Police Station police have registered a case under attempt to murder charges. While Muniraju is still under treatment for his serious burns at the hospital, he is said to be taken into custody post discharge.
