Bengaluru: A biker lost his life in a collision with a canter truck under the Jnanabharathi traffic police station limits on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Hebbagodi resident Anil Kumar (47), who worked as an RO water purifier technician. He went out for work and was returning on his bike around 10.50 am when the accident happened.
Kumar, reportedly riding his bike at a high speed, grazed the left side of the truck near Ullal Bridge on NICE Road. Consequently, he lost control of his bike and crashed, sustaining a severe head injury that resulted in his death.
The truck driver sped away. Upon receiving information, officers from the Jnanabharathi traffic police station inspected the site and registered a case for further investigation. The police are examining CCTV footage to trace the truck.
