B'luru Urban dist administration reclaims land worth Rs 374 cr

The Bengaluru Urban district authorities recovered 62 acres and 11 guntas of government land worth Rs 374 crore in an anti-encroachment drive on Saturday.

The land was recovered at Dasanapura in Bengaluru north taluk, Hunasamaranahalli village in Bengaluru north (additional) taluk, Chikka Thoguru in Bengaluru south taluk, Kittaganuru, Jyothipura, Ambalipura, Haraluru and Byrasandra villages in Bengaluru east taluk, Karpuru village, J Bingipura village, N Medahali, Chikkanekkumadi, Belluru and Guttahalli village in Anekal taluk.

In Anekal taluk, the Alliance College had encroached upon at least four acres of government land in survey number 72 and 73 of Karpuru village in Kasaba hobli. A few farmers too had encroached upon eight acres of land in survey number 73 of Karpuru village.

The Vivekananda ashrama had encroached upon eight acres and 25 guntas in various survey numbers of J Bingipura village.
