"

The call was received at the police control room around 11 am, and the caller stated that a bomb has been planted in the office and it might explode at any time," Bidari said.

Immediately, the police swung into action with sniffer dogs and the bomb disposal squad were pressed into service. All staff were asked to leave    the premises. But the officials did not find any explosive material.

“After a proper check, we found out that it was a hoax call made from a mobile phone. We have traced the number and a case has been registered in the Cubbon Park police station in this regard,” Bidari said. However, he did not divulge any information on the origin of the call.
