Last Updated IST
The High Court on Wednesday ordered notice to the Lokayukta police in a petition filed by Sunil Bose, son of Public Works Minister H C Mahadevappa, with regard to a bribery case filed six years ago.

Justice H Billappa ordered the notice and adjourned the hearing for two weeks. Bose has challenged the show-cause notice issued by the Special Lokayukta Court directing him to appear before the court.

The Lokayukta police in Mysuru had registered a case against Raju and Alphonse, aides of Bose and employees attached to the Department of Mines and Geology.

Complainant Basavaraj had charged that Alphonse was caught red-handed accepting bribe from Basavaraju for Bose in an illegal sand mining incident. Following the investigation, the Lokayukta police failed to mention Bose’s name in the charge sheet, which was later challenged by Basavaraju. Lokayukta Special Court has issued a show-cause notice to Bose to appear before the court.
