A 49-year-old constable attached with the Border Security Force (BSF) and stationed at the 77th Battalion Centre in Karahalli collapsed and died on Wednesday morning.
The deceased, Eeresh, a native of Davangere, was posted to Bengaluru from Punjab a few days ago.
According to the police, Eeresh suffered seizures and vomited at about 7.45 am in his camp. The camp doctor, who initially treated him, asked the BSF personnel to shift him to a bigger hospital.
He was then shifted to the Devanahalli government hospital where he breathed his last.
