For the first time, Bangalore University will be offering post-graduate courses in Journalism and Mass Communication on both its Jnanabharathi and Central Colleges campuses. The university is also conducting re-counselling for MA Journalism

A decision was taken to accommodate the interests of several students who stay in the heart of the City and would not be able to travel all the way to Jnanabharathi.
University Vice-Chancellor Professor B Thimme Gowda said the varsity had recently conducted counselling for this course.

However, based on the demand to conduct the course on the Central College campus to cater to students staying in the surrounding localities, the university took up the request.
They could not afford to scrap the course on the Jnanabharathi campus as there were students interested in attending the course there as well. Hence, the university decided to offer the course on both its campuses.

Based on this decision, the university will conduct re-counselling for the course on August 19 at 10 am in the Senate Hall, University Administrative Building, Jnanabharathi campus. Those who have applied to affiliated colleges can also attend the counselling.

Details of the intake are available on the university website, according to K K Seethamma, BU registrar.
