A youth was killed after his scooter was hit by a speeding BMTC Volvo bus on the outer ring road near Kammanahalli on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Hameed, 23, a resident of Karim Nagar near HAL. Employed at a private company in the City, Hameed was on his way to work when the bus struck his scooter from behind.
Thrown from his vehicle, he sustained severe head injuries. Although rushed to a hospital nearby, he was declared dead on arrival.
The bus driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. Banaswadi Traffic police have registered a case.
