A small-time businessman was hacked to death over a financial dispute in Kadugodi on Friday night.
The deceased Krishnamurthy (26), is a resident of Sai Layout in Kadugodi.
He owned an earthmover and used to rent it out for construction projects, said the police. Krishnamurthy was returning home around 7.30 pm on a two-wheeler. Four men who were lying in wait for him in a car picked a quarrel with Krishnamurthy when he approached Sai Layout.
They chased and attacked him with lethal weapons. A profusely bleeding Krishnamurthy was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared ‘dead on arrival’, said the police.
