The BWSSB has set up another vigilance squad to check irregularities in bill payments and illegal water supply connections. The team comprises BWSSB chief administrative officer and secretary K H Jagdeesh, executive engineer V Sanath Kumar, accounts officer S Raju, deputy executive engineer T Madhusudhan and assistant executive engineer Mohammad Mudaseer.
The BWSSB set up the first vigilance unit led by administrative officer Krishnegowda Tayannavar in January. “The city has grown. The second team has been formed as one team cannot detect violations and other irregularities,” said BWSSB chairman Tushar Girinath.
