Ordering strict enforcement of the Karnataka Public Safety Act, 2017, Bengaluru police commissioner Kamal Pant on Thursday said it is a must for all establishments that witness a footfall of 100 people at a time to install CCTVs.
Directing the jurisdictional police inspectors to inspect such premises from time to time, Pant tweeted: “Every establishment under the act with a public gathering of 100 people or more (at a time) is required to install a close circuit television surveillance system.”
Pant directed all commercial establishments to install CCTVs at the earliest in the interest of public safety.
