Actor-turned-model Poonam Pandey landed herself in trouble for an alleged obscene performance on the eve of new year on December 31 in Bangalore as a sessions court here on Friday issued a non-bailable warrant against her.

While hearing a petition filed by advocate Umesh, the court directed the police to produce her before the court on January 12. Umesh argued in his petition that the actor’s performance was obscene and hurt the sentiments of the Hindus. She held the picture of the Hindu Gods and posed obscenely while performing a dance, he had alleged.

Umesh also told the court that she stayed in Bangalore for some time. Staying in the City and not appearing before the court is a violation of the law, he argued. The judge issued a non-bailable warrant against Poonam and directed the police to produce her before the court.
