The two labs are part of the 16 new laboratories identified for the tests. The National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD), New Delhi and National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune were the only two labs testing samples from all over India. Currently the two labs in the State are only conducting parallel tests, along with NICD. From next week, they will start working independently.
