The three-member team of Cyber Crime Cell from Bangalore arrived in town after it traced one ‘suspected’ e-mail to a cyber cafe near bus stand, Chittoor district Superintendent of Police PVS Ram Krishna, told PTI. He denied media reports that the team was in Chittoor following inputs of a suspected terrorist, who used the browsing centre to send the e-mail on June 2 and was hiding in the town. The SP also rubbished the reports that Karnataka Police had picked up some persons for sending the e-mail to Pakistan.

“The team came to Chittoor, as part of a probe into a cyber-crime case and questioned the cyber cafe owner,” the SP said adding it had nothing to do with any terror related mail.
