Setting the mood for the International Day of Yoga, several organisations across the city held pre-yoga celebrations on Sunday. June 21 is marked as the International Yoga Day.

More than 100 yoga enthusiasts gathered, grabbing their yoga mats and other essentials for a whole day of practice.

Eager participants also gathered in large numbers at the Manpho Convention Centre to celebrate International Yoga Day, organised by Akshar Yoga. Mayor R Sampath Raj; Dana Kursh, Consulate General of Israel in Bengaluru; Minister of Agriculture Krishna Byre Gowda; and Akshar Nath, founder and chairman of Akshar Yoga, were present.
