The Parishat is under the rule of an administrator from 2006, following allegations of maladministration.

The meeting, held here on Tuesday, chaired by Administrator M K Shankarlinge Gowda, IAS, was attended by at least 80 members, including D K Chowta, former secretary, CKP and B L Shankar, Congress leader.

As per the Co-operative Societies Act, an administrator should not head a society for more than six months, for three terms. But the Parishat is under the administrator governance since 2006.

Unanimous resolution
A section of the members reportedly told the meeting that the Parishat should have an elected body. With Shankarlinge Gowda welcoming the suggestion, the meeting passed a unanimous resolution to recommend to the Government to conduct election within next 45 days to have elected members. There are nearly 140 members.

Lok Sabha members Venkaiah Naidu and P C Mohan have donated Rs 25 lakh each to the Parishat and H K Kejriwal, founder of the CKP, has donated Rs 20 lakh. An announcement was made in this regard at the meeting.

The meeting also acknowledged Rs 1 crore donation by businessman Dayananda Pai for the construction of an auditorium on the Parishat premises.
