The city police have been unable to make any headway in an alleged molestation case involving a 23-year-old woman as she has failed to turn up at the police station in order to identify the culprit.

Though the FIR was registered on March 6, the complainant hasn’t made herself available at the station to identify the accused on the CCTV footage collected by the police.

The woman, a resident of Koramangala, along with a male friend had gone to a gastropub in Koramangala 3rd Block on March 6. While she had gone to the smoking room around 12 to 12.30 am, the woman alleged that a man came from behind and hugged her. She told her friend about the ordeal. Around 3 am, she went to the Koramangala police and filed a complaint.

Subsequently, the police had booked a case of sexual harassment against the unidentified man.

“We have tried to contact her a number of times, but the complainant is not cooperating with us to identify the culprit,” the police said.
