The police said, Venkatesh had hired Pradeep as a driver who was allegedly in love with a relative of Venkatesh. The girl who had gone missing a month ago, returned a few days back. Basavaraj, the girl’s father suspected Venkatesh for his daughter going missing, as he was Pradeep’s employer.
In order to settle scores, Basavaraj and three of his associates attacked the couple at their residence. Neighbours shifted the couple to a hospital.
The suspects are at large, said the police.
