A couple was killed in a road accident near RV College of Engineering on Mysuru Road, west Bengaluru, on Thursday. The deceased were identified as Anwar, 58, and Shahnaz, 49, from Kote in Kengeri.
The accident occurred when the couple was returning home after visiting their relative. A lorry rear-ended Anwar’s motorcycle, tossing the couple in the air. They fell down and sustained grievous injuries. They died at a private hospital later.
Police said the lorry driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the spot. They have launched a manhunt for him.
