The commissioner of railway safety (CRS) completed the inspection of Metro Green Line on Thursday.

Confirming that the inspection was over, Managing Director of the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) Pradeep Singh Kharola said, “We are awaiting the results and are hopeful of getting a positive result soon,” they said.

The CRS usually takes a week before giving its report on safety inspection. The BMRCL has been submitting the required documents to the CRS office for nearly a month now.

The BMRCL officials, however, refused to give a specific date for CRS submission of report. The clearance will mean a green signal for the inauguration of Sampige Road-Yelachenahalli section, which will, in turn, lead to the operationalisation of the entire Phase 1 of Namma Metro.
